This basement was damaged during the flood and provided the opportunity to update the game room to feature a new 70" Sony HDTV, 7.1CH surround sound system, and Lutron RadioRa2 lighting control system. The audio system features Totem Kin in-wall, in-ceiling, and Totem Tribe in-wall dual 8" subwoofer, Onkyo Receiver, Apple TV, Sonos Connect, Sony Blu-ray and is all controlled effortlessly via an RTI T2X touchscreen remote. All the gear is housed out of sight in a neatly organized rack in the closet. The lighting control system features several dimmers throughout the home and Lutron's new Triathlon battery powered shades that integrate seamlessly within the RadioRa2 ecosystem and can be retrofit easily into any home.
This dedicated media room features a 120" screen and BenQ W1500 HD projector, 7.1CH surround, hidden equipment, and universal remote. Our interior designer worked with the homeowners to incorporate their taste and redo the attached bath as well. The walls are paneled in local beetle-kill pine.
What the room looked like before we started work.
We were able to retro-fit all the necessary wiring through the walls and ceiling without any additional holes. The screen is acoustically transparent so the front three channels and subwoofer were able to be mounted behind the screen for the cleanest possible look and unparalleled sound tracking with the video. The system utilizes Totem Kin In-walls for the front, Totem Mask in-ceiling for the rear, and the Totem Tribe dual 8" in-wall sub. An Onkyo TX-NR 828 is at the heart of the system with the usual Apple TV, Sony Blu-ray, and Comcast HD DVR all organized neatly in the 21U rack in the closet.
